PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — The overall number of South Dakota coronavirus cases increased by 143 cases to 1,311 today.
That’s according to the S.D. Department of Health.
Seven have died, an increase of one. The death occurred in Minnehaha County.
373 have recovered.
55 have been hospitalized
Minnehaha County saw an increase of 131 cases to 1,065.
733 people associated with the Smithfield plant have tested positive. That breaks down to 598 workers and 135 friends and family or others in contact with them.
