SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls’ municipal and school board elections will take place on June 2 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Sioux Falls City Council unanimously approved the new election date at Tuesday’s meeting. The election had been scheduled for April 14.
The state legislature gave cities the authority to move election dates back during the pandemic on March 30. The new date coincides with South Dakota’s primary election and votes in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties.
