SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Street Closure – Bahnson Avenue
from Sixth Street to Solar Drive
Beginning on Monday, April 27, 2020, North Bahnson Avenue will be closed from East Sixth Street to Solar Drive. The westbound lanes on East Sixth Street will be closed at Bahnson Avenue and traffic will be reduced head to head onto the eastbound lanes. Access will be maintained for the residents who live directly off of Bahnson Avenue.
Work will include utility installation, asphalt pavement, and sidewalk installation.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by July 2020.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures – Ellis Road
from 41st Street to 12th Street
Beginning on Monday, April 27, 2020, warranty work and final cleanup will begin along Ellis Road from 41st Street to 12th Street. There will be periodic lane closures, however, Ellis Road will remain open to traffic. Traffic control will be in place.
Work will include pavement patching and minor landscape restoration.
This work is anticipated to be complete in three weeks.

Street Closure –51st Street
from Holbrook Avenue to Drexel Drive
Beginning on Monday, April 27, 2020, West 51st Street will be closed from Holbrook Avenue to Drexel Drive to allow construction crews to begin work on street and utility improvements along 51st Street.
West 51st Street is anticipated to be closed until mid-July.
