SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — At least 13 people that tested positive for COVID-19 have died at the Good Samaritan Society’s Sioux Falls Village.
Good Sam reports that nearly 100 people at the senior citizens complex have tested positive. That is a total of both residents and workers.
Here is the latest breakdown at the Sioux Falls Village provided by Sanford Health’s Shawn Neisteadt:
· Total COVID-19 positive residents: 59
· Total deaths with COVID-19 positive test: 13
· Total COVID-19 positive employees: 38
· Total employees recovered: 14
Neisteadt says he did not have the numbers on how many residents have recovered.
Nursing homes and assisted living facilities have been especially hard hit by the coronavirus.
