SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Mayor Paul TenHaken says Sioux City is the new COVID-19 hotspot in the nation.
He said only New York has a higher infection rate.
So far, he says only one or two Sioux City coronavirus patients have transferred to Sioux Falls.
TenHaken says he’ll be calling the Sioux City mayor to see what Sioux Falls can do to help.
The Mayor also says starting next week, the City’s coronavirus briefings will move from twice-weekly to once a week.
TenHaken made his comments today at a mid-morning coronavirus briefing.
