SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Street Closure – 41 Street
Beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, West 41st Street will be closed between Spring Avenue and Minnesota Avenue to allow contractors to remove the sign bridge on the west side of the intersection.
This is the next phase of the project adding a right turn lane for eastbound 41st Street onto southbound Minnesota Avenue.
This work is anticipated to be complete in approximately two hours.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – Main Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the right southbound lane on South Main Avenue from 11th Street to 13th Street will be closed to allow crews to perform concrete pavement patching. After the work in the right southbound lane is completed, the lane closure will shift to the left southbound lane.
Parking access will be maintained whenever possible, however, it may be restricted at times. Access to parking ramps and parking lots will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected during construction.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.
