SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for Sioux Falls and some surrounding areas Tuesday night.
The storm passed through Sioux Falls shortly before 7 p.m. Central Time. A separate warning was in effect for parts of northwestern Iowa.
The National Weather Service has announced a wind advisory for parts of east central South Dakota and northern Nebraska. Winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph are expected. The advisory ends at 4 a.m. Central Time.
As of 8:30 p.m. the NWS has not issued any flood warnings or advisories for the area.
