SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — An eighth person has been arrested by Sioux Falls Police in connection with the riot at the Empire Mall on May 31.
The riot and vandalism followed a peaceful march in support of George Floyd earlier that day.
Yoseph Esen Badi, 25, from Sioux Falls, faces riot and injury to public property counts.
Police say he threw a rock at a patrol car during the disturbance at the mall.
His bond was set at $5,000, cash only. Badi is supposed to appear in court this afternoon.
Police arrested Badi yesterday.
