The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office says a family dog kills a six-week-old baby in Hartford.
The incident happened late yesterday afternoon in the 900 block of Trojan Avenue.
The authorities were called to a Hartford home and found that the baby had several bite wounds from the dog.
The child was airlifted to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The dog is a Belgian Malinois.
The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society has possession of the animal.
