SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls School District has been keeping in touch with parents and students by email.
The is the email from 6/22/20 concerning the School Board boundary decision:
After months of research and public comment, the School Board met tonight to determine high school attendance boundaries that will be implemented in the Fall of 2021.
The vote was 4-1 in favor of Option A. The Board also voted to allow Seniors graduating in 2022 to choose if they wish to be grandfathered into their existing school or if they would like to attend their newly assigned school. The grandfathering does not extend to siblings.
The Board released a new middle school option for consideration over the weekend. Public comment was taken this evening. The Board will make a final vote at 5:30 pm at IPC, 201 E. 38th Street, on Thursday, June 25, 2020, on the middle school boundaries only.
