WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (KELO.com) — Iowa-based grocer Hy-Vee doesn’t say they are requiring face masks to enter their stores Monday.
However, if you are not wearing one when you enter, you’ll be given one.
In a news release, they say, “The company will hand out more than 3 million free masks in an effort to help support the CDC’s recommendation to wear masks in public by launching a new initiative called “Mask It Up To Shut COVID Down. It’s Your Choice.””
They say they’ve required their employees to wear masks almost since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in the region in March.
Sioux Falls has seven Hy-Vee stores.
