SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new report confirms that hunger is still a problem in South Dakota.
The study from hungerfreeamerica.com says almost ninety-five thousand people are short of food in the state, including many families with kids.
Megan Kjose, development director with Feeding South Dakota, says they are still seeing a growing need.
She says their numbers are close to what Hunger Free America is reporting/.
Kjose says rising costs are driving more people to their food distribution centers.
Kjose says they are also having a more difficult time finding the necessary food supplies to keep their centers fully stocked.
