Tonight will be peak viewing for December’s annual meteor showers – the Geminids. The shower is currently active until Dec. 17
According to the National Weather Service, the annual display averages 30-40 meteors per hour. They remind you to dress warmly if you plan to view the show outside.
NASA also will broadcast a live stream of the shower’s peak Dec. 13-14 via a meteor camera at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, (if the weather cooperates!), starting at 8 p.m. CST on the NASA Meteor Watch Facebook page.
