SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) – A plan to turn an empty lot into a neighborhood teaching garden received unanimous support from the City Council on Tuesday.
IronFox Farm plans to transform 3 lots along the Big Sioux River near Blauvelt Avenue into an urban garden with the goal to foster community spirit and teach kids and adults about nutritious foods and native plants.
The area will feature raised garden beds, greenhouses, fruit trees, raspberry shrubs, and a native prairie garden.
