SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken was in the state prison Saturday–by choice.
The mayor tweeted that he attended the State Penitentiary’s inmate Toastmaster’s club.
TenHaken said the convicts made him an honorary member of their group.
The mayor says it was an incredible presentation and fellowship.
TenHaken says he plans to attend more meetings with the group at Penalty Hill.
Below is his tweet.
Tonight I was able to go behind the walls at the State Penitentiary and be a part of their Toastmasters meeting. To my surprise, I was made an honorary member and plan to return to a future meeting. Incredible presentations and fellowship with these men this evening. pic.twitter.com/nsfAkhLsrE
