SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –The Minnesota Department of Health is warning consumers of another food item that’s been linked to possible Salmonella cases in the state.
Three Minnesotans have fallen ill after reportedly eating Citterio Premium Italian-Style Salame Sticks between September 20th through September 29th.
The Minnesota Department of Health is advising consumers to dispose of Citterio brand salame sticks purchased at Trader Joe’s, as well as other retailers.
The three individuals that fell ill reported buying the salame sticks at separate Trader Joe’s locations from one another.
Other brands of salami sticks and other Citterio products are not known to be affected at this time, but the investigation to determine the scope of the problem is ongoing.
