WOMAN REALLY WANTED TO TALK TO A DETECTIVE
Sioux Falls Police say a woman really, really wanted to talk to a detective yesterday afternoon (thursday).
Police say Showna Marie Randle, 48, from Sioux Falls, called 9-1-1 and said she wanted a detective’s phone number.
9-1-1 said they couldn’t give out that number.
The woman said she would call back with the report of a shooting.
She did, but there was no shooting.
The police arrived, investigated, then arrested Randle for making a false report.
MAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING KICKED IN THE HEAD DURING FIGHT
A man sits in jail after being arrested for punching and kicking another man in the head yesterday (thursday) afternoon in Sioux Falls.
Alan James Standing Soldier, Jr., 29, from Sioux Falls, is charged with aggravated assault.
Sioux Falls Police say he and the victim got into a fight.
Police say Standing Soldier floored the victim with one punch to the head.
After the victim crumpled, authorities say Standing Soldier kicked the man in the head.
The victim is in the hospital in stable condition with life threatening injuries.
