SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Downtown Sioux Falls is teaming up with Smithfield Foods along with local pork producers to host the first ever Downtown Pork Showdown.
Downtown Events Coordinator Sadie Swier says that it’s a competition between restaruants to see who can make the best pork dish, similar to the Downtown Burger Battle.
Restaurants can either create a new menu item to showcase, or enter an existing dish already appearing on their menu.
16 restaurants will be competing against one another throughout the month of September.
