SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The evening rainstorms that passed through the area yesterday brought much needed rainfall without too much damaging weather.
The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls recorded a wide range of rainfall totals throughout the region.
Northern Sioux Falls saw over 1.5 inches of rain, while the southwest side of the city only saw about .6 inches.
The eastern edge of the city recieved 2 inches of rain!
Lyon County, Iowa, saw rainfall totals reach 3 inches as a heavy band of precipitation dumped rainfall on the area.
Showers and storms return this weekend, with a chance of severe weather Saturday evening.
