SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Discover Aviation Day is going on Thursday at the Maverick Air Center at the north end of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport.
The free event includes a number of World War II aircraft, radio-controlled aircraft, drones, flight simulators, and STEM activities.
It also has displays from local aviation-related groups such as the Civil Air Patrol, the Experimental Aircraft Association, Women in Aviation, the S.D. Highway Patrol, the Sioux Falls Police, and a number of colleges and universities showing their aviation programs.
It is sponsored the Sioux Falls Airshow.
