MITCHELL, S.D. (KMIT) — A new high school in Mitchell was briefly discussed at Monday’s Mitchell School Board meeting.
Superintendent Joe Graves brought up the idea in his report to the board.
“We have advertised for designers, architectural services for the possibility of a new high school, and we’ve had a great deal of interest in that,” Graves said.
Graves said they will receive submissions Monday “so we could begin those discussions.” Any steps forward would require board approval.
Previous projections had been for a new high school to be built by the year 2025.
