SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — If you happen to live in the rain band of Thursday’s rain showers, you’re in luck–you got some nice rainfall.
However, if you were on either side of that line, you got very little or none.
That’s according to the Sioux Falls National Weather Service (below).
The Sioux Falls metro area saw rainfall from 0.3 to 0.64 inches.
The northwest corner of Turner County saw 1.51 inches of rain.
The Mitchell area saw a variance from 0.18 to 1.77 inches of precipitation.
Those outside of the band weren’t so lucky.
The Chamberlain area received between 0.02 and 0.05 inches. Brookings had 0.3 inches of rain.
Here is a look at the rainfall across the region from last night's storms. The stripe with higher rainfall amounts resulted from multiple thunderstorms moving over the same location. This is known as "training thunderstorms" in the weather world. 🤓 pic.twitter.com/qQ4q2orS1r
