SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota gained 1,200 construction jobs between February 2020–the start of the pandemic–and May 2021.
The state had the second-highest percentage increase of construction jobs in the nation.
In May, however, South Dakota saw a slight drop in construction jobs compared to April.
That was a loss of about 100 jobs or 0.4%.
The numbers come from the Associated General Contractors.
