Lincoln County, S.D. (Kelo.com) — A rollover accident involving a semi and an SUV on I-29 near MM52 Saturday afternoon sent a man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reports a Jeep Liberty was traveling northbound and was attempting to pass a Kenworth semi pulling an oversized load. The Jeep crossed the center line and sideswiped the semi. It then lost control and entered the median where it rolled several times.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital and cited for a lane driving violation. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says the man was wearing a seat belt which they suspect saved his life.
