SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Beginning on Tuesday, East 18th Street will be closed to traffic at the intersection of Phillips Avenue as part of the Phillips Avenue Street Reconstruction Project.
Northbound traffic will be detoured to Minnesota Avenue at 22nd Street. Westbound traffic will be detoured to 14th Street at Second Avenue, and eastbound traffic detoured to 14th Street at Dakota Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured at Main Avenue and First Avenue to 19th Street.
Work will consist of new water and sewer utilities, curb and gutter, concrete paving, new accessible curb ramps, and streetlights.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by mid-July.
