(PIERRE, S.D.)– South Dakota’s unemployment numbers continue to trend downward.
The Department of Labor is projecting a 2.8 % unemployment rate for the month of April, which is down slightly from the 2.9 % reported in March.
The number of South Dakotans currently on unemployment is 2,519.
A more comprehensive overview of numbers is set to be released on May 28th.
According to statistics, South Dakota has one of the lowest state unemployment rates throughout the country.
