SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –If you’re driving to work Wednesday morning, be careful on the road.
There’s a dense fog advisory in effect for Sioux Falls and areas east of the city, including in northwest Iowa. The National Weather Service says visibility in dense fog is a quarter mile or less.
Watch out for dense fog this morning! Visibility in many areas is below 1 mile.

* WHERE…Portions of east central and southeast South Dakota, northwest and west central Iowa and southwest Minnesota. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Nation.
* WHEN…Until 8 AM CDT this morning.
* IMPACTS…Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
