SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Hy-Vee is no longer requiring masks from customers or employees in its stores unless there’s a local mask mandate.
They cited the new relaxed masking guidelines from the CDC that came out on Friday.
They say masks are still “strongly recommended” for shoppers who don’t have the shot and the store will still require unvaccinated employees to wear a mask.
Hy-Vee says Plexiglas barriers and social distancing markers will stay in place.
41% of South Dakota’s total population is fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.
