SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — As usual for the weekend, the Sioux Falls Police were fairly busy dealing with the bad guys and girls.
Here are some of the highlights from Monday’s daily police briefing.
MAN KICKS IN DOOR, THREATENS PEOPLE WITH KNIFE, GOES TO JAIL
A Sioux Falls man sits in jail on aggravated assault and burglary charges.
Dewey Damien Tuttle, 27, tried to break down the door of a Sioux Falls apartment then threatened the people inside with a knife.
The occupants were able to push him outside then called the police.
The incident happened this weekend.
Sioux Falls Police say no one was hurt.
VANDALS WREAK $23,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE ON VEHICLES
Sioux Falls Police are investigating the damage to 20 cars in a lot in the 5000 block of West 14th St. over the weekend.
Police say nearly every car had broken windows.
Several had their taillights and headlights broken out.
The lot owner estimates the damage at $23,000.
MAN SOLICITS WOMAN FOR SEX, BOTH GET CHARGED
Police arrest a Sioux Falls man and woman for soliciting sexual activity and prostitution.
Jeremy David Fischer, 41, is charged with soliciting a misdemeanor.
Ashley Kay Julefs, 32, is charged with prostitution, also a misdemeanor.
Police say Fischer propositioned Julefs in the 4400 block of West Antelope early Sunday morning.
