SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – At Monday night’s Sioux Falls School Board meeting, Alison Struck, executive director of the Sioux Falls Education Foundation shared the good news that the Foundation received it’s largest donation ever. The gift of $150,000 was from the estate of Gene and Connie Mielenz. The couple were originally from Yankton but moved to Sioux Falls and their daughter Terri graduated from Washington in the mid-70’s.
The Sioux Falls Education Foundation supports the district with academic grants for education programs that would otherwise go unfunded.
