SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police report Thursday morning at their briefing on two unusual crimes.
CAR AS WEAPON
A Sioux Falls man is in jail for using his car as a weapon yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
A male victim and his woman friend were walking on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of North Lincoln Ave.
Suddenly, a car jumps the curb at a high rate of speed and hits the man.
Police say the man in the car has some sort of connection with the victim.
The victim went to the hospital but was not seriously injured.
Michael Mukeh Pessima, 21, is charged with aggravated assault in the incident.
TWO MEN, A WOMAN, A THREATENED GUN, AND A STOLEN CAR
A man and a woman are in jail today after an odd attempted robbery and car theft in Sioux Falls early this morning (Thursday).
A male victim was giving a woman he knew a ride.
They stopped in the 400 block of South Highland Ave. and the woman took the victim’s car keys.
She then yelled across the street to another man in a parked car that they should get a gun and rob the victim.
The victim took off running.
The woman stole the victim’s car.
Police caught the culprits in the 2900 block of East 6th Street later in the morning.
Heather Marie Wychesit, 34, from Sioux Falls, is charged with armed robbery and grand theft.
Riley Joe Tronson, 20, also from Sioux Falls, is charged with possession of stolen property.
