SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Holt Avenue Construction
Beginning on Monday, April 26, 2021, Holt Avenue will be closed between 28th Street and Oak Street to allow crews to reconstruct the street. Work will consist of new water main, miscellaneous sanitary sewer repairs, new asphalt paving, new accessible curb ramps, and streetlight upgrades. 28th Street and Bragstad Drive, and Oak Street and Klondike Trail, will also be closed at Holt Avenue during this phase of construction.
This is the first phase of a multi-phase project to reconstruct Holt Avenue between 28th Street and 33rd Street. This phase of work is expected to take approximately one month to complete. All work on the project is expected to be completed by mid-July with favorable weather conditions.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures – North Marion Road
Beginning on Monday, April 26, 2021, the outside northbound lane and outside southbound lane on Marion Road will be closed at I-90 to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp improvements and install traffic signals at the I-90 ramps.
Traffic control will also be installed on the westbound I-90 off-ramp, which will narrow the off-ramp to allow crews to widen the ramp to add a turn lane at Marion Road.
This work is expected to be complete by mid-July.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and are urged to use alternate routes.
