SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police say someone ordered $6,000 worth of supplies from a local business.
The person who picked it up said they were with the City of Sioux Falls and to just charge the city.
Police say the scammer gave a fake name.
The business eventually called the City about the “purchase” then learned that it was a fraudulent transaction.
Office Sam Clemens says the City only uses credit cards and purchase orders.
The police are investigating.
