SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — At approximately 10 AM Saturday Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to the 500 block of Jefferson Ave. for a report of a structure fire.
The fire was determined to be coming from the basement.
The crew quickly searched the basement and discovered a victim, who was brought to an awaiting ambulance.
The victim was then transported to the hospital.
One lizard was present in the home that Sioux Falls Animal Control took into care.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
