PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — A South Dakota lawmaker has introduced legislation that would place a statewide face-mask mandate into law.
Democratic Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls says South Dakota has lost 1,763 people to COVID-19 thus far.
His plan is similar to those in Brookings and Sioux Falls and would sunset September 30, 2021.
South Dakota’s COVID-19 cases are currently trending downward after peaking in November.
