2020-21 Sioux Falls City Council.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls City Council approved a motion that would allocate $100k toward funding a COVID-19 public health education campaign.
The council also discussed more potential funding for the future in case additional information during the pandemic needs to be shared with the public.
Earlier this week, Mayor Paul TenHaken said the idea was to educate the public about social distancing and wearing masks. Now, however, with the advent of COVID-19 vaccines, he says the money would be better used to educate the public about getting vaccinated against the virus.
