SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police were busier than usual over the New Year’s holiday and weekend.
Monday’s daily police briefing went nearly a half hour.
One of the incidents that responded to was a homeowner running outside with his handgun and pointing it at people who had parked a car in front on his house.
Mark Scott Kreft, 67, from Sioux Falls, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
The incident happened yesterday (Sunday) in the 2300 block of South Willow.
No one was hurt.
In another incident, a man and a woman sit in jail on burglary charges.
Eugene Wayne Stark, 28, from Sioux Falls, the getaway driver, and Samantha Dawn Leonard, 30, also from Sioux Falls, face a variety of felony charges.
These include burglary, having burglary tools, possession of stolen property, and drug charges.
Police say they broke into casinos early Saturday morning in the 1200 block of East Benson Road and the 500 block of South Valleyview Road.
