SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office and Sioux Falls Police have arrested a half-dozen suspects in an assault and kidnapping that took place in February. Captain Josh Phillips said the victim was assaulted three times in a dispute over stolen drugs and money. Captain Phillips says The victim escaped after the first assault, but the suspects found him at a nearby home, and assaulted him a second time. “They then threatened the victim and put him in a car, and took him out to roughly 85th Street North and Ditch Road, where he was assaulted again.”
Officials viewed a Snap Chat video of the assault on Ditch Road, and say the victim was struck more than two hundred times. The charges include kidnapping and aggravated assault, and more charges may be on the way as the investigation continues.
