Sioux Falls City Council
SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls city officials are looking for ways to get the public more involved in city business. There are over 30 committees and boards in city government. Council Chair Rich Merkouris says plans are coming together to make community involvement less confusing, “Everybody’s in agreement that with all of these individual committees and boards that we have, we definitely needed some improvement and clarification on meeting notices, public input and meeting locations to provide some consistency.” Mayor Paul Tenhaken is working on an executive order to create standards for those groups to publish meeting information and instruct the public on ways to get involved.
