PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota lawmakers made quick work of their remaining duties, and closed out the 2026 legislative session Monday. Lawmakers came up short in efforts to override two vetoes issued by Governor Rhoden. One bill would have required licenses for non-medical home care services. The other would have banned the sale of cultured protein – also called ‘fake meat – in South Dakota stores. Both attempts failed.
