SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A 42-year old Sioux Falls man is being held on several charges in a case that started Friday with rocks being thrown through a neighbor’s window near Minnesota Avenue and West 3rd Street. The neighbor was struck in the head by one of those rocks, but was not seriously injured. The Police Department’s Emergency Response Team was called in, and located the suspect – Errol Red Dog II – armed with a baseball bat in his nearby home. He allegedly threatened officers and slammed the door behind him. Police say he then began starting fires inside the home, and eventually jumped out a second story window in an attempt to escape. He was captured and taken into custody.
Red Dog was charged with aggravated assault, burglary, reckless burning and intentional damage to property. Police say narcotics were also found.
