PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — The Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee approved four letters of intent Monday, the final day of the 2026 legislative session. The letters spell out what lawmakers want reviewed or reported on food assistance, welfare cash benefits, school finance, and roadwork around Ellsworth Air Force Base. Lawmakers are also holding sessions Monday afternoon to consider overriding two vetoes issued by Governor Larry Rhoden.
