SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls residents got the chance to hear from the candidates that want to become the city’s next mayor Tuesday night. AARP South Dakota and Downtown Sioux Falls hosted a candidate forum at the Washington Pavilion. Joe Batcheller, Christine Erickson, Greg Jamison, Jamie Smith and David Zokaites shared their backgrounds and experiences they believe make them the ideal candidate for the office. Public safety and maintaining a positive business climate were the most familiar themes. Mayor Paul TenHaken is prevented from running for reelection because of a term limit.
