SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The FBI and law enforcement from three states are working with Sioux Falls police to find answers in the disappearance and death of 14-year old McKenna Wendel of Sioux Falls. She was missing most of last week, and her body was found near Brookings last Thursday. Police Chief Jon Thum says there’s a lot officials can’t say yet, as they work to protect the integrity of the investigation. “Many of you in this room will not be satisfied with the answers we gave today. You probably want more information, and there’s time to discuss that later, but the pursuit of information doesn’t interrupt the pursuit of justice.” There has been a lot of online Social Media chatter on the case, but police say so far they aren’t ready to file any charges.
