Pop purchases out as Governor signs SNAP waiver into SD law

PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — No pop purchases with SNAP/Food Stamp benefits.  Governor Larry Rhoden signed that bill into law today…even though he doesn’t believe it’s the best way to approach the problem.  He says having Congress make the change would avoid costs for South Dakota taxpayers.  If that happens, he says the law he signed should be repealed.
