PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — A South Dakota legislative committee has unanimously approved Attorney General Marty Jackley’s election integrity bill. Jackley says foreign interests must never be allowed to influence South Dakota elections. The initial offense would be a misdemeanor carrying a penalty of up to a year in jail. Repeat offenses within a year of the initial offense would be a class six felony. The bill passed unanimously Monday morning.
