PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Two bills related to Data Centers have been rejected by the South Dakota Senate. One would have granted long-term sales tax rebates for large projects – including data centers. The other would have required a Public Utilities commission permit to allow backup generators to connect to the bulk electric system. Sponsors of both bills plan to have them reconsidered because of close votes.
