UNDATED (KELO.com) — Demand for locally grown organic foods is on the rise nationally, but the number of organic farms in South Dakota is dwindling. Requirements to become certified as an organic farm are difficult according to a report by South Dakota News Watch. Because of that, the number of certified organic farms in South Dakota has dropped from about 120 in 2022 to 90 now.
