Pierre, SD (KELO.com) — Governor Larry Rhoden’s budget proposal did not include an increase in state funding for schools. His ‘hold the line’ approach in a tight budget year is generating plenty of disappointment. Some representatives suggested one-time funds that could help this year. However, Representative Tim Reisch says that could create bigger problems down the road. The legislative session begins January 13th with Governor Rhoden’s ‘State of the State’ address.
