Sioux Falls, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls has a new city councilor. Vernon Brown was appointed by the council to fill the seat vacated by Sara Cole’s resignation. Brown has served two terms in the past and he told councilors he’s humbled and honored to be appointed. When Brown was first elected to the council in 2004 just before his daughter was born, and he had hopes of helping develop a city her generation would want to become a part of. Now, 21 years later, she’s about to graduate from SDSU and is looking for work in Sioux Falls.
